Public Relations

Helping organizations get out on the press to build credibility is important. It is about building and have ongoing relationships with influencers that you are able convince to that the services and products of a business are worthy of anyone's time. Public Relations (PR) considers a lot of factors (your key publics and their interests, understanding messages and context of things, your industry) to make this type of work valuable for any business.

Communicating Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an extra thing that many companies do in able to improve the communities around them or globally. Not only does it bring positive business reputation and brand recognition and provides sustainability, but it betters the society and not just the company to bring innovation and to cut their finances to put it towards helping. I've organized my work with ways on how to help give back towards organizations.

Here are some of the organizations I arranged to be supported:

I contacted The Children's Home Society in Trenton, New Jersey for donations of children's clothes by our company to be picked up by their van. The clothes are for at-risk children and youth.

Although my company worked with them before, I contacted them again and tried to coordinate ideas for how we can help women in homeless and domestic violence situations. We thought of teaching women on making vision boards to see what kind of future they wish for their families and themselves and I helped taught these women on creating their boards with my co-worker. We provided supplies with the boards, markers, stickers, glue sticks, magazines to cut from, scissors, etc.

I coordinated and bought the needed supplies (from a list) to donate them towards this food bank. The supplies are basic human needs for the less unfortunate in the community.

As a student who went to Rutgers University, I always heard of Elijah's Promise. I contacted the organization to arrange a volunteer opportunity to clean the kitchen and cook for the homeless.

Other: While working in TJ Maxx for years, all of the associates in my store's team including me asked customers to help fundraise for organizations such as to help Autism, Education, etc.
